Jul 28, 2021 | What's on

It’s that time of the year again! Taking place in Gloucester Park on Trier Way, the fair is fun for all ages (we promise). All rides are £1 on Wednesday 4 August, with live music, bands and DJs on Saturday 8 August from 2pm to 7pm.

Orchard Street Market, Food and Craft Festival

7 to 8 August, Orchard Square Gloucester Docks

Discover local food, drink, art, design, vintage and modern craft from Gloucestershire’s very own artists and businesses, all local and carefully selected. The market is open from 10am to 5pm on both days.

Craft Festival Cheltenham

13 to 15 August, Cheltenham Town Hall

Showcasing over 100 of the very best designers, take a trip to this festival to browse ceramics, wood, silver, jewellery, glass and textiles from craftspeople from across the UK. Also check out their workshops, as they have an array of bookable workshops suitable for everyone.

Summer Family Firework Night

14 August, Walls Club GL4 3YL

Running from 5.30pm to 10pm, Chase Lane Fireworks are hosting a spectacular firework display combined with music. Be sure to join them for food and drink, a fun fair and of course an evening sky full of fireworks!

Soul Circus Festival

19 to 22 August, Elmore Farm

Want to run away to the circus? Then you should check out Soul Circus Festival in Elmore. It’s a wellbeing festival where music, yoga and holistic therapies meets glittery festival antics and DJ after parties. Stretch out in yoga tipis and lush countryside by day, and dance under the starts at night.

Sausage and Cider Festival

20 August, Cheltenham Racecourse

Honestly, need we say more?

King’s Jam Festival

22 August, Gloucester Park

This is the perfect place to discover Gloucester’s up and coming talent in music, dance and art with nationally and internationally renowned artists. Running from 12pm, this is an independent festival located in the heart of Gloucester city and run by Gloucestershire charity, The Music Works. Be sure to join them to discover the latest acts.

Tewkesbury Classic Vehicle Festival

22 August, Tewkesbury

Are you a fan of all things with an engine? Check out the tenth year of the Tewkesbury Classic Vehicle Festival which boasts over 1,000 classic vehicles, motorcycles, live music and trade stands.

Gloucester Goes Retro

28 August, Gloucester City Centre

Love all things retro? Well you’ve found the perfect fit! After a one year hiatus, the vintage car, fashion and music festival will be back with a bang. The festival features over 500 classic vehicles filling the historic Gate Street and Gloucester Docks. You can also enjoy music, swing dance and vintage acts.

The Importance of being Ernest – Outdoor Theatre

4 September, Llanthony Secunda Priory

Starting at 6.30pm, prepare yourselves for the entirety of Oscar Wilde’s classic play of manner, affairs and handbags, being performed by two (apparently) dashing entertainers. This is an outdoor production, so you’ll need to bring a chair or a blanket to sit on, but it certainly sounds a lot of fun.

Crafts Alive

8 to 12 September, Rodmarton Manor in Cirencester

This five day festival is inspired by ‘The Lie of the Land’ and promises to celebrate a deep-rooted connection with the countryside through crafts. It’s the perfect event for design, craft, anything handmade, interiors and garden lovers.

We hope you have fun, and enjoy what the city has to offer! If you come across any other events that you’d like to share, we’d love to hear from you. You can contact us here or share on our Facebook or Instagram page.
